Lake Poschiavo is one of the valley’s natural symbols: turquoise waters set among majestic mountains. Located at around 1,000 metres above sea level, it offers scenery that changes with the seasons—from spring blossoms to autumn colours and winter’s snowy vistas.

Outdoor activities and walks

A flat path of about 7 km circles the entire lake, making it perfect for walks, jogging or bike rides on the lake’s western side. In summer you can stop at small equipped beaches, enjoy a picnic by the shore or swim in the fresh, clean waters.

Lake Poschiavo is also a favourite for photography and birdwatching: its calm waters mirror the surrounding peaks, while many bird species and aquatic plants thrive along the banks.
How to get there
From Poschiavo’s historic centre, the lake is easily reached on foot or in a few minutes by train. Its proximity to Hotel Suisse Poschiavo makes it an ideal outing even for those short on time.
